Polymer Mimetics update us on their progress
Following the celebration of their first birthday back in June, we recently sat down with Paul for a further update on Polymer Mimetics progress in 2021:
“I am pleased to say the Polymer Mimetics facilities has expanded with the addition of a further laboratory at our facility in Liverpool. The new lab will allow further polymer research to be undertaken continuing our development of high-performance polymers for composites, 3-D printing and biodegradable materials.
We are also pleased to welcome David Akstenn DeSouza and Dr Alessandra Monaco as full-time members of our team and Josh Hayles who joins us from Dr Seb Spain’s group at the University of Sheffield for his industrial placement. Our partnership with the University of Liverpool and our close cooperation with Prof Steve Rannard’s group continues.
Matt, who has been with Polymer Mimetics since it was established in 2020, has recently received a well-earned SCI-sponsored Leverhume prize for the best MSc student during his final year, a huge congratulations to Matt!
As a team, we are really pleased with the progress we have made this year. We look forward to updating you further on our progress in the New Year.”
