Moulded elements for Hot Tubs using Crystic® Gelcoat G 976 SMK produced by Skargards Hot Tubs
In 2007 Skargards started to produce a premium line of Swedish hot tubs. Since then the company has become one of Europe’s leading wood-fired hot tub producers and delivers their products throughout 15 European countries. Skargards produces its hot tubs in a factory on the coast of lake Vänern in Sweden Skargards offers three different models that seek to combine innovative ideas with the charm of traditional wood-fired hot tubs. They strive to use only high-quality materials to produce long-lasting products.
Skargards uses CRYSTIC® GELCOAT G 976 SMK, as well as the hardener Butanox M-50 to produce their ergonomic glass fibre tubs.
– The gelcoat is applied with the spray gun machine MIPG-24 HV MK 2 that is made by Aplicator Ab, Sweden.
– The hardener is mixed internally and applied.
The Gelcoat is especially advantageous for the moulding of swimming pools. Skargards uses it for their tubs. The gelcoat is particularly suitable because it provides a high chemical and hydrolysis resistance. This allows the customers to use chlorine, salt and active oxygen to remove bacteria from the water.
