Texipol 63-202
Texipol 63-202 is a rheology modifier that imparts pseudoplastic properties to aqueous-based compositions. As an inverse emulsion thickener, it can be used in a wide variety of aqueous binder systems including PVA, SBR, and acrylic and styrene acrylic copolymers, and various adhesive, sealant and coating formulations.
With 4% in water, Texipol 63-202 creates a thickened deionised water viscosity of >35,000 mPa s from an inverse emulsion viscosity of 1,500 mPa s. It is ideal for thickening systems of pH>7, although it can be used from pH 5.
This thickener is supplied as a pre-neutralised dispersion as the sodium salt of an acrylic polymer. It is available in IBCs for small operations as well as larger drums if required. Our Texipol modifiers are highly effective and efficient, providing almost immediate thickening without needing neutralisation or extra additives, helping to speed up production times and lower costs.
Typical thickener dosages are dependent on the system and viscosity required. To find out more about the right emulsion thickener for your requirements, contact Scott Bader today, or take a look at our brochures below.
