Texicryl 13-218
Texicryl 13-218 is an APEO-free acrylic copolymer emulsion, designed for use in surface bonding and the through-bonding of synthetic fibre wadding. It is widely used as a high-loft, non-woven fabric binder, and is also ideal for use as a stiffener for window blinds.
This self-crosslinking acrylic dispersion has been developed to effectively prevent penetration of fibres through the cover fabric, preserve the high loft of wading, and aid with handling during the make-up process. It has a non-detectable formaldehyde content, and is ISO 14184-1 2011 approved.
Texicryl 13-218 has a pH of 6.5 and a viscosity of 75mPa s at 25°C. Once cured, it has excellent heat and light stability, in addition to good wash and dry clean solvent resistance, and good recovery from compression. This product is supplied pre-catalysed, however the full drying and cure of Texicryl 13-218 is dependent on the concentration, temperature and time.
Scott Bader supply Texicryl 13-218 copolymer emulsion in drums and IBCs and should be stored between 5°C and 30°C. For more information, download our data sheet below or get in touch to speak to our sales representatives.
