Crystic® CiPP Resin D5101
Crystic D5101 is an unaccelerated, thixotropic, isophthalic polyester resin, ideally suited for use in the production of liners for pipe relining. Thanks to Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CiPP) technology, this resin can be used to create a new pipe lining within an existing pipe structure, making it efficient and easy to use.
Once fully cured, Crystic D5101 laminates have good chemical resistance and mechanical properties, as well as long term property retention. This resin is therefore ideal for heavy-duty, high-frequency use and industrial applications.
This resin should be allowed to attain workshop temperature before use, at which point its gel time will be between 3 and 6 minutes. Crystic D5101 requires the addition of a catalyst for the curing process to begin, however further additives such as pigments and fillers may affect its natural properties, and their effects should be evaluated before use. The resin should be stored between 5°C and 25°C, away from direct sunlight and oxidising agents in order to achieve the optimum shelf life.
